We had a great time hanging out with the family on Christmas Eve...full of food, activities and excitement!

Graham Cracker Houses with the YSA

We had a family home evening with the Young Single Adults...building graham houses and decorating them...Annicha chose wisely and and paired up...this is their house...she was so excited and even more so when Maury told her to take it home :0 If you enlarge the picture on the left you will see a hot tub with two snowmen in it complete with bubbles...so creative!

The Snow Queen????

The National Honor Society was in charge of the winter pajama dance this year. Cheyenne had to stay after school to decorate and set up.
I don't know if I have ever heard of a winter dance where you wear pajamas????? Anyhow, Cheyenne was voted Queen ( the school voted the day of the dance) by her peers...the Handsome King--Zach!
Why do I laugh? Cheyenne and Zach liked each other in 5th ad 6th grade!!! Things got a little competitive in 7th and 8th (not in the boy/girl sense, but in sports and grades!) They are back to being friends this year...just made both of us moms laugh though! Thanks for the pics Pam!

Feeling a little awkward about their King/Queen dance...

Finally giving in...

Sporting the Burger King crowns!

Cheyenne in her zebra pajamas she just couldn't resist wearing!

Cheyenne had a good time-Sierra attended this dance as well...it was her first school dance. I heard she did more running away and hiding than dancing-what do you expect from a 12 year old?

Visitors to our Nativity

We have a Fisher Price Nativity so that my kids can play with it...why are they always attracted to the fragile ones??? Anyway, this is what I found this morning...

Here is a closer look of the left side...

It looks like Spidey, Batman and the Riddler-who is riding a Fisher Price pony from our cowboy town-came for a little visit to the baby Jesus! Joran you crack me up!

Ogden Light

We went with Jeff's Young Single Adult ward to see the lights of Ogden. It was rainy, but not freezing...unless you are me! My kids all did fine, me however-I had on Jeff's coat (over all my stuff) and I stole Annicha's hat because she was wearing her hood most of the time! I had never been to these before and really liked them. They have little houses with different lighted and moving scenes in them-totally cool!

Here we are peering into the candy factory house.

Cheyenne's Volleyball Owie!

Cheyenne played on the school volleyball team this year...this picture is from the very last game of the season. She dove for a "dig" and the libero(who is bigger than she is) dove on top of her ...her chin hit the floor and split open resulting in a nice cut (luckily not requiring stitches) and big bruise!

Way to go Cheyenne...now you will have a few weeks to recover all the bumps and bruises!

Christmas Piano Recital

Each December we attend a piano recital...this year Annicha was playing as well! She started playing in September of this year-she played O Little Town of Bethlehem.

Here is Sierra playing Still, Still, Still

Here are the girls with their teacher...they love Ruth!
