He did make it through 3 hikes in Zion's with the stitches in...I'm hoping to get some pictures from the leaders that went so I can blog about his trip.

Connor is down to butterflies!
I took Connor in Monday to have his stitches looked at. They agreed to remove them if he would keep the butterfly bandages on for as long as possible. This was because the wound was so deep, extra support while it continued to heal underneath...

Unexpected Excitement
I guess I should start with an explanation. Unfortunately, you may end up as confused as I still am. Cheyenne had a volleyball team party on Saturday afternoon. The girl whose house the party was at likes Connor...needless to say him and a couple of his friends were invited as well. They swam, ate and of course played volleyball. The ball kept going over the neighbors chain link fence. On the third time of retrieving the ball "something happened" and Connor ended up hurt. His hand was punctured quite deeply as well as a tear originating from the puncture which was bleeding a lot...enough that he passed out after a couple minutes. We took him up to the instacare and the got him cleaned up and he had to have his hand stitched up. He wasn't real happy about that...he was somewhat in a state of shock and it didn't help that there were going to be needles involved. Things are fine now, but he is supposed to leave on Wednesday morning for Zion's to hike, hike, and hike some more! He'll have to go with stitches and try to keep it all clean...
This is our first stitches...it was something I don't want to do again. When Connor showed me before the doctor visit-let's just say that it was something I knew Jeff better handle or else he would have to pick us both up!

the outside dressing

the puncture and tear are in his palm

the damage to his stomach

Connor crashed out on the couch
