Lagoon

We've had our season passes to Lagoon for a couple weeks now. Connor and Cheyenne got to use theirs first as the junior high honor society went on a field trip there. The younger kids had to wait until Lagoon "officially" opened-that is when the kiddie rides open. This didn't happen until the Davis schools were out of school- a week later than our district. Of course the week they were open it rained and we had things in the middle of the day that would limit our time. We decided to go on Wednesday, despite the rain. We haven't gone to Lagoon for 4 years, so for the younger ones ....pure joy!

This is their first ride...I should have taken a picture of their wet bums when they got off! Maren is shooting at Joran-I couldn't get his picture before they started to move and it goes too fast after it starts to get a good picture.

They were all giggling on this one as they smiled and waved at me every time they passed by.

The boats had a ton of water in the bottom...now we had soggy feet and bottoms!

I remember riding this when I was little thinking I was so cool to be driving! Now it is Maren and Annicha driving!

Here comes Joran! He didn't quit smiling the entire day!

Annicha on the carousel...she was so looking forward to riding this, but she doesn't look as thrilled once she got on!

Joran and Maren rode together so I could keep and eye on both of them...Maren was watching her big brothers and sister (that is Sierra in the green jacket), thus Joran turning her head for the picture.

The whale ride goes in circles, but the whales go up and down like they are diving and coming up for air. The first time Maren and Joran went on this together while Boston and Annicha stood in line for another ride. Maren was on the inside and I was watching her mouth...it looked like she was talking to Joran...when I looked closer she was repeating over and over...up-down-up-down up-down the entire ride. Connor and I were watching just laughing...she continued the entire time! We put her on again by herself (Connor took Joran on a new rollercoaster) to see if she'd still do it...no such luck...it was a one time only deal. The second time getting off she threw a fit...we returned to the line for a third go...she was getting to know the attendant pretty well now! She loved this ride and I'm so glad. She didn't show much emotion or even smile on any of the others (too over whelming for her first time???). It was so cute to see her smile and her blonde curly hair flying out behind her! Maren's new love...Bulgy the Whale!


You will notice I didn't get pictures of the older kids. Connor, Sierra and Boston went off together (Cheyenne was babysitting). They happened to be on the sky ride when the downpour hit...they were soaking wet! I thought it convenient that Joran had to use the bathroom right before it started...we missed the entire thing...undercover! I'm sure there will be many more posts this summer with Lagoon pictures!
Just and FYI, Jeff is teaching a kids camp in the morning and framing a basement in the afternoon...that's why he didn't go with us...soon though!
